This suggestion is not the easiest one.

Maybe the hosted organization solution in R6 will help you to tackle this problem. I haven't tried it myself yet but the theory is that you can host multiple organizations in a way they cannot see the data / information of other organizations on the same Domino environment (also Domino Directory).

My interpretation is that your type-ahead problem will be solved if you implement it. Organization 1 is the existing internal organization and organization 2 are the web users in the second Domino Directory.
